Emerging Trends in Educational Technology and its Impact on Teacher's Professional Growth

Abstract

With the passage of time, there has been a myriad rise in the development and application of new tools, aids and techniques in the field of education system. This spurt in Educational Technology has greatly impact the world of education and has remarkably brought a tremendous change in the teaching- learning process and in the professional growth of teachers as well. With the latest inventions and emergence of new educational tools it has provide a great potential to the teachers in enhancing their profession. It has infact impact the teaching- learning process and the teachers professional growth too by serving as an important tool in the management, organization and evaluation of the education process. Educational Technology has enriched the whole system of education impacting the lives of the students and teachers as well and has led to the attainment and overcoming of educational goals. Thus, the author in this study adopts a thematic approach for the study and highlights some of the emerging trends in Educational Technology with the passage of time and progress of development. Also, the author points out the significant impact which the educational tools has brought forward in the way of professional development of the teachers in this study.
