Abstract

To improve the quality of school education, the Government of India has launched a flagship programme, ‘Samagra Shiksha’ with a goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equitable opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. Based on the recent scheme the study seeks to explore into the awareness towards Samagra Shiksha among the Prospective teachers of Nagaland. The study was conducted on a sample of 209 prospective teachers of kohima district in Nagaland. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques like t-test. Findings of the study revealed that Prospective Teachers awareness towards Samagra Shiksha was average.
